Brian Burks, Assistant Band Director

Brian Burks is beginning his 4th year as Assistant Band Director at LBJ. Mr. Burks is a graduate of Northwestern University in Louisiana. Prior to joining the staff at LBJ, Mr. Burks was working toward a masters in trombone performance and music theory. Brian Burks marched with the Phantom Regiment Drum Corps in the mid-nineties. He has also served on the staff for Bluecoats Drum Corp. Mr. Burks is very highly regarded as a superb musician, arranger and instructor and has produced and directed the exciting, dynamic charts for the LBJ Marching Band’s competition the past two years.
