With a very successful Cap City behind us and San Antonio to look forward to, we are off to a busy marching season.  Our UIL competition will be on Monday, October 20th.  We will follow that with the Make a Wish trip honoring our head drum major, Alex Gramman, with a performance at the State Marching Band Competition in the Alamodome, San Antonio, TX, on Monday, November 3rd.  The band will go on charter buses and chaparones are encouraged to sign up.

I would like to personally thank our Cap City chairs, Cathy and Dan Baird & Laura and Kendall Smith.  What beautiful weather we had that day with big crowds turning out to watch the bands and eat lots of our concessions and curly fries!  Thank you to all the hard working band parents and relatives that helped make this event a success.

Let  me also say that I am grateful to all of you for your support and hard work this fall on behalf of the band students and the directors.  It has been amazing, and you have made a real difference to our program. You have each supported “The One The Only Jaguar Band” in your own way, with many hands and deep caring to make the 2008-09 year fantastic.
